The Grace Church Youth Ministry exists to exalt God, to edify parents (as the primary disciplers in the lives of their children) as well as our youth for spiritual growth and service in God’s kingdom, and to evangelize the lost by proclaiming the gospel of Christ.
In this statement, there are three categories that drive all we do as a youth ministry:
The Bible
Our desire as a church is to present everyone complete in Christ (Col. 1:28). In ministering to youth, our goal is much bigger then developing godly teenagers, we seek to raise up godly men and women. Such a desire requires a commitment to the teaching of God’s Word. While we love to have fun in our meetings, that is not what drives this ministry. The highlight of our activities is our time in God’s Word.
The Gospel
The teenage years represent a time in many lives when they begin to walk with the Lord. For this reason, we recognize that the best thing we can do for our youth during this stage of life is to boldly proclaim the gospel.
The Parents
Scripture is clear; parents are commanded to be the primary influences in the spiritual growth of their children (Eph. 6:4). With this in mind, we as a church seek to come along side the parents and encourage them in training up their children
Most of our activities are aimed at youth, but any parent is invited (and encouraged) to participate in any of our activities.
Special programs for Middle School and High School students are opportunities for growth, fellowship and service.
